Ok ladies I'm iffy about posting this I know it happens to alot of people but how do u guys go about getting help for depression and anxiety...I'm 10000% sure I have it and it's bad I just don't know what to do to get the right help I need
Just going to politely disagree with the comment about antidepressants being addictive. I was on them for 1.5 years and had no problem going off. When done correctly (slowly weaning) it shouldn't be as big of an adjustment. No shame to those who need them for a longer period because their brains literally aren't wired to work a certain way.
On a side note, make an appointment with your nurse practitioner or doctor. They will go over a questionnaire with you and determine where you fall on the scale. You could start medication or you could try other methods to try and cope. Whatever you choose, feel no shame. You absolutely need to do what is best for you. ❤
Any can be sadly with habit forming is what I basically mean and not necessarily some people actually don’t need permanent medication with proper CBT involved and actually some have had habit forming issues where they feel like they can’t quit them to function with symptoms because they’ve been on them for a long time! Remember each and every person has different reactions just because you aren’t doesn’t mean another won’t ссылка ссылка
It’s just an important thing to be aware of so you know if you wanna quit you knew it can happen.
Also any person can experience depression and anxiety no one can be always happy that’s just impractical it just depends how wide your issue is and when it’s time to talk to someone and try everything with your therapist and doctor possible to feel better that you agree about trying. Yes anxiety and depression can be disorders but there’s also normal forms in our life and at least you guys haven’t had issues that’s wonderful that you found what works for you best.
There’s counseling non medicated options to try at first and there’s groups and new activities to improve it too and if it won’t improve there’s also service dogs and yoga and meditation can also help but medication talking to your doctor isn’t your only choice you can try non medicated treatments first even CBT because tbh medication is usually there when there’s no other options. There’s also weed non high CBD you can get prescribed by doctor to help anxiety and depression and way less side effects compared to leading medication. Most depression medication is addictive so do keep that in mind and do not use them as a tool to get by but rather a crutch and anxiety meds are mostly a sedative. There’s tons of options and medication isn’t always your only option and there’s also therapy and meditation and yoga classes and using lavender. Some honestly use depression medication after pregnancy when they’re out of options and only short term till they feel well enough to lean off. Always remember you can ask questions or research your prescriptions and what may work for someone might not for you because it alters your brain cells and emotions as well as cognitive behavior and your body. If any medication makes you suicidal or dangerous side effects however cease taking them IMMEDIATELY and inform a doctor.
You about medication or give you a referral to something else!
