I am going through a short program to do Medical Billing and Coding. It's not hard and you can work from home but there is a small internship for 40 hours and most places ask you to come in a few times at the beginning. I am in my last quarter and then I have to certify in whatever the place I want to work wants me to specialize in.

I have met a payroll person working from home before. My sister-in-law worked for a doctors office from home (scheduling appointments etc). You basically need to go on a website like Indeed, type in your zip code and “remote” or “telecommute”, and you will see all sorts of remote jobs available in your area.
