How long does your breast stay engorged for when breastfeeding 🙈 it feels so painful and swollen 🙈 and no matter how much I feed from that one side it’s still very swollen at the top

Mine stayed hard fo the first week or so only my right boob as the left boob was the best one but try and make her feed off it as much as you can or you could end up with mastitis and it really hurts! Try and get her into the routine of switching boobs each feed xx

She favours my right but from last 2 feeds I’ve been giving her the left the one that’s engorged so not sure how long I should get her to feed from the one that’s engorged do I let her feed from that one as the left feels normal

the next feed give your left boob and try expressing your right at the same time then next feed give your right boob then next feed left boob xx

Have a nice warm shower and hand express a bit off. Or a warm bath and massage. Helps a lot! Xx

I agree with shower and when he was patched on I would massage the painful bit it’s not comfortable in the slightest. I would also run a warm bath take him in with me and latch him on trying to massage that area. Try to avoid giving every feed from the left as you will end up sore on the right then
