Breastfeeding and trying to keep healthy, but being told don't take dairy, don't take broccoli, don't take eggs, don't take cabbage, don't don't don't.....like what should I be eating?
@laniejay @mama.kay @flamingomom Well the pediatrician says my baby is sensitive to proteins in dairy products, not really allergy or completely lactose intolerant😱
Ohh okay got it.. that was my son too. I stopped eating yogurts, cut down on cheeses and limited my milk (I even did soy for a little instead) and it helped him a lot!
@ladymom, he was and spit up less. I switched him to formula around 3.5/4 months and he went to a sensitive and did okay, now he’s on soy and doing amazing! I feel bad I had him on just sensitive for so long 😩
I ate everything. I just stayed good with my portions and what/when I was eating. But I did not limit myself on not eating certain things. I didn’t eat much chocolate, but I would eat some. I wouldn’t just sit and drink milk, but if I wanted a bowl of cereal then hell yeah I ate a bowl of cereal. Things like that. Everything in moderation and be mindful of the amount and what you’re eating. That’s what I did 🤷🏼♀️
Was this advised by your child’s pediatrician or just old wives tales you’re being told? I didn’t adjust my diet during my pregnancy or while breastfeeding and it never negatively affected my daughter
Do they suspect your little one has allergies? You can eat most things. Peppermint and fenugreek can hurt your supply... but otherwise unless it bothers you and/or baby there's not too much to stay away from
