Anyone experience heavy bleeding after delivery or passing of large blood clots? I am a week postpartum and although I am not bleeding a whole lot its more than I probably should be. I pass blood clots everyday but today was 2 very large ones- felt creepy and looked creepy too. I called the nurse at my OB office but I would like to talk to someone who experienced this. My tummy is still tender at the bottom and I have body aches.

I did. It was awful. I stood up out of bed one morning and it just 🌊 . It was like a murder scene. Scared the hell out of me for sure.

With my last, I passed several large ones for weeks. Finally I called in and told my OB. They said if it was the size of an egg or bigger to call back. I passed one like that, called in, my OB asked a bunch of questions and then said to let him know if I pass another one that size. I never did. Definitely call in though so they know what’s going on just in case. It could be clotting, hemorrhaging, any number of bad things but it’s most likely what we all do after birth and that’s shed our baby’s first home. She was in there for a long, long time. It’s a lot to come out, I’m sorry!

Even though it’s very scary it’s actually very normal! If they become any bigger I would defiantly call back and ask to be seen or if you keep experiencing very large clots.
