I had a period and a week after it ended i spotted for 24 hours. Less then a week later i started bleeding and I'm going on day 20 of bleeding. I don't think i am pregnant because negative urine tests. The doctor believed it was a miscarriage but came to the conclusion it is not. That's why i was asking about no hcg until later and cryptic pregnancies. As i stated before, i have a trans vaginal ultrasound next week to rule out pregnancy, cyst etc...just light spotting and the mildest of cramp. But ive been bleeding for almost a month. Which my periods are usually 3-5 days long.

She was tested which would be at 3 months and the blood work came back negative and then she didn't bleed for that entire month after her next cycle did not come and they showed small amounts of HCG what they had told her not what I'm saying this is what the doctor told her the reason HCG did not show up was because she was bleeding during her pregnancy so it did not allow the HCG to build up said she didn't bleed for that month it gave the opportunity for the HCG to build up how'd she bled for the rest of her pregnancy she would have most likely show no HCG and after she went through that she looked online and found other women having the same experience

@spookylyn it is absolutely heartbreaking I was reading that thread and these women were like 80 months pregnant upset that their husbands wouldn't believe them and it broke my heart

A baby would never carry to term having not been visible on an ultrasound. You’d never carry a baby to term without producing HCG which is the hormone required for pregnancy to sustain and growth to initiate.

@spookylyn, 😮

But as I stated my friend did not show any levels at HCG until she was four months pregnant and her daughter is now 8 years old

@spookylyn well yeah it's not an actual menstrual cycle my aunt bled for the entire 9 months of her pregnancy and the baby was completely fine and that child is now in her 30s

A cryptic pregnancy is just the lack of awareness knowing you are pregnant

Such stories as women thinking they have a kidney stone and then going to the ER for them to be told that they are in labor and they had no idea that they were pregnant is considered a cryptic pregnancy

A cryptic pregnancy can be no HCG the entire pregnancy having a menstrual cycle every month causing you to believe that you are not pregnant and going full term is considered a cryptic pregnancy.... being delusional and getting an ultrasound and then not showing a baby is a hysterical woman not a cryptic pregnancies.

Cryptic pregnancy are real. And women who have hysterical pregnancy latch onto the term "cryptic pregnancy" to justify. Women with hysterical pregnancies would not show up on an ultrasound women who have cryptic pregnancies because there is no signs indicating their pregnant that if they had an ultrasound it would show Google cryptic pregnancies as I said women with hysterical pregnancies latch onto cryptic pregnancies and those are the ones who believe they are pregnant even when an ultrasound says that they or not like the show I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant those are considered cryptic pregnancies

I know it is rare. My friend had what the doctors referred to as a cryptic pregnancy because her hcg did not show up until the 4th month. Urine and blood sample. She had zero symptoms of pregnancy until her period stopped at 3 months. And she took a test and it was negative. Then found out a month later that she was in fact pregnant when she went back in for more bloodwork...and she was in her second trimester.

Thought that as well. But they said no because I'd be anemic for bleeding that long if it was hemorrhaging. They pricked my finger and said my levels are good. I'm just baffled. But its bright red not old blood. So, i thought hemorrhage. If my ultrasound shows nothing I'll probably go to another obgyn.
