What I've learned....dont tell your hubby everything. I told him I'm going to give the baby 2years and older coughing meds and he said have u spoke with the doctor about that? She's only 1 (16 months). I wasn't going to give her the exact amount for a 2 year old...it was to be less duh!!!

I’m with the male specimen on this one. Internal organ development and maturity matters.

I wouldnt give, unless directed by your pedi and with the correct dosage.

The 2 and up medicine has a higher dosage of medicine in than it does for babies.

They do make cough medicine for babies, zarbees makes one.

What I’ve learned is that your husband is right! Why do you have 2 year old medicine if your daughter is 1? Please don’t give her that.

Yeah, he’s right. Glad he realizes that doing that is dangerous.

If it states 2 and up, don't give it to children below the age of two. He's right, you should always consult a doctor especially before giving them meds that are not designated for them.

Also never hide things regarding the children. Each parent deserve to know what is going on with their child.

But he’s right about that. If it says for 2 years or older than you are advised not to give it to your 16 month old. Can you pick up infant medicine?
