Saw my doctor today and baby boy weighs 5 pounds 5 ounces, he has dropped down where he needs to be (she said she could feel his head when checking my cervix 😳)and I’m a centimeter and a half dilated. She said if my water hasn’t already broke or I’m not having consistent contractions by my next appointment in two weeks that if I have dilated to a 4 she will probably admit and induce me then. So crazy and exciting to think that my son will be here in a couple weeks

Wow, well I hope baby bakes until term and your doctor smartens up and doesn't induce unless theres an actual medical need.
I’d be looking for a new doctor if she’s talking about inducing a baby early for no reason who hasn’t even breached the 6 pound mark 😑
Why would she induce you at 37 weeks? Just let baby come on their own. Are you high risk by any chance?
She didn’t say why and I didn’t ask or argue but I have been high risk the whole pregnancy and in a lot of pain the last couple weeks as well. She doesn’t think she’ll end up having to induce me that chances are he’s going to come on his own before then but only god and baby can decide that one.
@nyoung1006 hopefully baby stays in til full term. My SIL had her baby at 37 weeks and she was so tiny, had to stay in the NICU as well. Her breathing was not all that great.
@lacondesa, I’m trying to keep there as long as I can.
My son was born at 37 weeks. He was 8lbs 11oz. I wasn’t induced but my water broke. He was born completely healthy, don’t stress about it. Every baby is different and I’m sure your dr knows what they are doing!! 😉 good luck on everything!!
