Has anyone been told that their baby had a thick Nuchal Fold on the anatomy scan? Did everything turn out okay? I have another ultrasound and genetic counseling on Thursday but I am freaking out a little! All my blood work was good and we had genetic counseling last time (for fertility issues) and we are at low risk for everything. Could she just be a chubby baby?

Thanks. They did two ultrasounds on me first but they said it was because they couldn’t get all the pictures they needed so I would hope they checked the neck twice. I am hoping she is just chunky. I have gestational diabetes so the babies tend to be larger.

I had an abnormal trisomy 13 and my nuchal translucent measured normal. Had an amniocentesis done at 18 weeks and my baby was perfectly fine. Now he is 2 months old and thriving.
Yup they did for my daughter i was scared and worried but turned out she was perfectly fine and it was the way she was positioned
My sons nucal fold measured thick the dr told us. She sent us to a specialist and I had another ultrasound done and come to find out it was just because he was chubby. So sometimes I wish they didn’t freak everyone out thinking something could potentially wrong when it could be something as little as a baby just having more neck fat. The specialist said that the ob should have waited and done another ultrasound a week after my first to check on it again.
