IMO if there is a name you have to break it down into its syllables just so people know how to say it, it's an automatic "no" in my books.

@akieshawife, I hope you don take this the wrong way. maybe try another French name because Cartier is an old French family name ,most people will not the able pronounce the way its intended. Just for your child sake

Laylani...I love. Cartier....ehh it's nice but like you said earlier..u either know it or don't and I think alot more ppl won't know it and always mispronounce it.
