Have any of you ladies had to have these injections after having your baby? Because I had a small clot they told me to inject myself, but i want to know if you can breast feed if you have these, the leaflet just says to ask GP or midwife for advice. I have given baby formula since him being born on Thursday but I have decided I want to BF and want to start before it's too late 😪

I was on clexane, And breast fed :) Id double check with your gp :)

I'm going to contact them first thing in the morning, was just hoping someone here could help x I breastfed my 3y/o for 16 months and wish I started straight away with this one, I'm really sad about it and am really angry at myself for not doing it x

I haven't taken this but I had major supply issues in the beginning and really had to work at my milk coming in, but still feeding now at 16 months! Seen so many lactation specialists. Feel free to message me if you have any questions about getting your supply up x

I had the same with how izzy was born and breastfed for the first few weeks (I couldn't continue for other reasons)

I used tinzaparin whilst pregnant and 3months pp whilst exclusively breastfeeding.
I was told this does no harm tp baby or milk whatsoever.
And it is the only safe option to take , there are also tablets i.e warfarin etc but my drs and consultants highly reccomend to use these instead.
I also had a blood clot in my lung whilst pregnant .
I would defo triple check with drs for yourself as we are all different and we maybe be reccomended dofferent things due to our individual circumstances.
