Get plenty of rest. Try not to get up fast cause it's gonna hurt like crazy I puked 2 days straight after my c section because of the medication.

My first labor was 36 hours and second 12... I ended up after both with stitches... hope the c-section will be easier.. 😥😥😥

Honestly I've had two c-sections and my first one was hard because I went through labor first but my second was a piece of cake and the recovery was not bad I was up doing everything I needed to do

It's scary. I'm scared about my impending one and it still have months. But it really is easy, fast and kind of an awesome experience. I now fear a csection much less than actually going through labor.

The epidural can cause you to shake bad at least it did me. It’s normal don’t stress it. I agree talk to someone during keeps your mind off what’s going on. If given option to have catheter out after 12 hours and your feeling up to it I recommend you do it so you can get up and start recovery faster. The first pee after is awful at least I thought it was took awhile to actually go. I also agree laughing, coughing and sneezing after hurts for a few weeks. If you can sit down hold a pillow when you do these things it helps with the pain. You will be very numb around incision for awhile I’m told could be years. I’m only 3 months post and it’s still numb. Oh and if they put the steri strips on your incision take them off in a week (unless doctor tells you different) in the shower is best while they are wet.
Good luck to you!

@littleonemorning, I’ve had epidurals with both of my girls but no shaking.

@mcear, I only had the shakes with my first one. It was really weird.

I request they bundle me as soon as I get to recovery. It happens with all anestisia for me. I love feeling like a caterpillar though 😂 but it doesn't happen for every one. Some people never get feeling back around the scar, I got most of mine back by 9 months and now its only slightly numb but it's been 3.5 years. I think rubbing it (after healed) helped make nerves connect better. My theory is no need to connect if it never feels any stimulation.

When your able to start moving, not a ton you don't want to overdo it, but being active will help you heal. Use a sanitary pad against your incision to cushion it, I used the sticky part to attach to my underwear so it didn't fall when I went to my bathroom. The worst part was the epidural being placed, I was oddly calm after that and it went fast. And warning coughing and sneezing and laughing will hurt a lot, hold your incision when you you need to do any of them.

Breathe, take the pain meds and don’t over work yourself. Talk to your nurses while your in the OR, most of the time they’ll talk to you anyway lol. But seriously, don’t deny the pain meds, you’ll feel horrible if you do.
