Are the postpartum belly band supposed to be over a shirt or directly on the skin ? Im seeing both ways but my cut still really hurts so idk how to put it

I put mine directly on my skin and over my cut but that's how it was first put on me

If your cut is bothering you I would maybe wait or try putting it over your shirt.
