My toddlers top front teeth are starting to have discoloration. I try my best to brush them twice a day. Is this normal? Im starting to think him drinking a bottle up until like last week when he stopped drinking them before bed.
My son had some discoloration in his top front teeth, little white spots. We figured out it was from his vitamin that had flouride in it. We stopped the vitamin and they eventually went away.
@kiki221, they are. He had the vitamin with flouride because we're on well water, so no flouride in the water like there is with city water. His dentist actually prescribed the vitamin. But our extensive Google search (😂) came up that flouride sometimes makes teeth spotty, and that it wasn't a big issue but I didn't want spots so we stopped and just use a flouride toothpaste.
Having a bottle at night caused my daughter to have a cavity on her front tooth. It started out as discoloration and has just gotten worse. Her dentist won't do anything about it because it's not a horrible cavity and doesn't cause her pain. she absolutely spazes if he tries to work on her teeth so he would have to put her to sleep. He said it's going to fall out in the next year or so anyway so there's no point in putting her through that. I brushed her teeth twice a day but the bottle was the issue.
My son had that too. His were like grey in color. The dentist said it was just staining. We were instructed to use baking soda twice a week on his toothbrush. I would talk to your child’s dentist first though. She said some kids have extra bacteria in their mouths that cause the staining
Brush up under his top lip on his gums.
