My baby has to get his helmet on the 22nd, any advice would be so appreciated. I’m so nervous, his head is really flat so he’s going to have a wear it for a couple months. I’m worried he’s not going to like it, and I’m nervous for how I’m going to feel when I see him in it. Did anyone else have to go through this? How did your baby adjust to it?

Mine is in a helmet too for this and also because she was born with craniosynostosis which is her soft spot was closed when she was born. They adjust to it pretty well actually after the break in schedule sleeping with it on the first night is what's rough but they eventually get use to it. If you have any questions just ask

How old was she when she got it? How long did she have to wear it for? I’m so nervous about nighttime, right now he sleeps through the night and I’m so afraid the helmet is going to make him keep waking up😭

she had surgery first and she had surgery on Oct 3rd of 2018 she was 6 months old and she is in it 8 months to a year and belive me it takes some time to adjust with the heat levels to there were night I let her sleep in her dieper

My son was a helmet baby! He was in it for about 2 months. It was so worth it. He adjusted pretty quickly and I honestly always forget that he even had it. You’re doing the right thing. It’s tough at times but you just have to take it one day at a time and focus on the finish line. Message me anytime. Here’s my blog if you want to read about our journey:

Thank you so much! He was 4 months when he got it on. It was perfect timing because it was right before a huge growth spurt. The faster their head grows, the less time they’ll have to be in the helmet. Hopefully you hit a growth spurt too. 😊
