Any advice for a momma returning home after a C-section? It wasn't really in my birth plan so I figured moms who have gone through the recovery process might have some tips
-Hold a pillow against your abdomen whenever you need to sneeze, cough, laugh, and when going home (the ride home was rough for me, especially the speed bumps in the pharmacy parking lot)
-Stay on top of your pain meds and take a stool softener if you were also told to take iron supplement.
-Don’t be afraid to ask for help from others, you need to try to rest to help your physical recovery.
-It might help to sleep propped up on your back. I couldn’t lay on my side until 2 weeks postpartum, and laying on my back made me feel like I couldn’t breathe.
-Some people recommend belly binders. I have no input on this, as my hospital did not provide me with one. But others have said they are very helpful.
