Any suggestions on how to get my youngest who is 17 months old to sleep through the night or even longer stretches ? He sleeps in our room still he was in his bed next to ours but now he screams when he wakes up until I pick him up and put him in ours so now I’m stuck on what to do he wakes up just about every hour for a sippy cup of milk . Helllpppp I need sleep 😭
Stop giving him the milk. He's probably just waking up for attention and using the milk as an excuse. Stop giving him the milk, pick him up and rock him back to sleep and then put him back in his bed, not yours. You may have to do that a few times for a few nights but eventually he'll stop waking and sleep longer.
Yesss like I’m not understanding bc he doesn’t get fed it’s just whole milk or 1% milk 🤦🏼♀️
@amberfauver12035, mine just wakes up for a minute or two of breastfeeding or to be held back to sleep 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
My son’s doctor told us that once they’re 6 months, you no longer need to feed them or give milk when they wake up. Anything past 6 months is likely just comfort feeding. She said that when they wake up, you should comfort them without picking them up. I know it’s hard but you have to stop giving in. If you continue doing what you’re doing, the child’s behavior will not change. If you want results, you have to put in the work.
