My child was suppose to be born at 35 weeks instead born at 36 weeks came out 4 pounds 1 once. He came home in the regular 2 days 3 pounds and 10 oz. My question is should i be soo worried about his speech his is 2 n still doesnt speak much. He understands everything and chooses when he wanna talks n will direct u to what he want. I think im over thinking. Any body else had a late talker

I don’t that should affect him much. My daughter was born 37 weeks and she started talking at 11 months. I think boys tend to talk later. My son didn’t really start talking until he was 3+. He’s almost 5 now and talks really well compared to where he used to be

My son didn't really talk much till he was 3. He has ADHD and he his speech was delayed. I went through this program which they do a few tests and have his hearing checked and found out he needed his tonsils and adenoids removed which that didn't happen till he was 6. But they had him gonto pre School early kind of like a headstart before pre School. He went to pre School for 2 years then kindergarten. But the second year of pre School he didn't seem like he was delayed in speech. They really worked with him. He had speech therapy till kindergarten through the school
