Hi mothers. I need someone to help me understand. My husband and I had our first baby and we love her to death but I feel like I'm the one that has her ever waking Moment, I don't understand why my husband don't spend more time with her, or maybe he just don't know what to do with her. I need help understand why that is ?

I think a lot of men are like that when the babies are young and don’t do much. My husband is amazing with our kids once they start interacting a little more, but when they were still tiny he didn’t do as much with them. I put my foot down when our son was born and he was a lot better.

Alright thank you. I was unsure if it was just him or all men

My husband was like that with our son. I had to tell him I needed help. Plus he just didn’t know how to handle a newborn. It got a lot better once our son got older and could interact with him.

I agree with @blueismycolor That's just a lot of men in general. Most of them become a lot more involved once the child starts becoming more independent and is able to interact with them more. I think they get a bit paranoid about small babies that they will hurt them or do something wrong. My son was dh 3rd child and he still freaked out doing certain things when he was tiny. Now ds is on the move more he is a lot more invested in spending time with him.
