So I think I’m done having kids. Not because I want to but because of life circumstances. Just to give a little background, we started trying when I was 28 had 3 miscarriages finally by the time I was almost 32 one week before my birthday I gave birth to my wonderful daughter. She was almost born at 27 weeks but after being in the hospital fo 3 days they were able to stop the labor and she was born via c section at 39 weeks(Breeched baby)My second daughter was born half a year ago, I was 34yrs old but I had about 30 contractions a day since week 23. The doctors and I were worried she won’t make it full term but she did (thank you god) now we’re kind of broken up, because I know I don’t want a baby right now but I would want one in 5yrs when the 2 little ones are older(we don’t have any outside help) but I’m scared because both of my pregnancy’s were scary. How did you ladies make up your mind? It’s so hard for me. I don’t want to tempt faith and I appreciate that I do have 2 very healthy children.

I think if you want another child then it's worth the risk. And the end result of a beautiful baby is worth all the worries when it's all said and done. If you know you want another child, I think you'll always regret not trying. But that's just my opinion.

I’m kind of with you but my neighbor just had a baby at 27 weeks he already had to have surgery to get part of his intestines removed and now he’ll have to have another surgery to have them connected again. I don’t think I could’ve mentally go through that, I’m too weak.I feel that was my strongest sign not to tempt faith, but i still feel like not completely sure about my decision. It’s just so hard to imagine not having another munchkin in my life.

you may think you’re too weak to endure the things you mentioned, but your baby will give you the strength as a mother you never knew you had. My mom always wanted 4 kids. She only got 2 kids. Almost 30 years later she still talks about the last 2 she always wanted.

People often go through things they never thought they were strong enough to handle, but the truth is...you have no other choice. You'll get through it bc you have to & you'll be strong because you'll do anything for your babies. You may have had complications in the past pregnancies, but in the end they were both full term and healthy. Can you even imagine your life without them now? Aren't you glad you didn't let fear stop you? You shouldn't prevent yourself from experiencing the love and joy of another child out of fear. Life is full of risks. Marriage is full of risks. It could end miserably, leaving you broken. But we still risk it. Because it's worth it. You could get in a horrible car accident and be paralyzed, brain dead or even die...but we all still drive in cars. Or the same could happen to any of your healthy children & you would get through it bc you have to & they need you. If you knew you didn't want another child and you were content...that's one thing. But if your family doesn't feel complete & you long for another then I think you're meant to have another child. And i feel pretty confident that you would always regret passing up the opportunity. But only you know that for certain. For me I always knew when I wanted another child and I knew for certain when we were done. In the end you are the one who has to live with the decision, so if you decide to stop at 2...can you live with that for the rest of your life? That's what you need to ask yourself. No matter what you decide I hope you feel at peace with it.

that had to be so scary for you parents. I’m happy your sister grew up to be healthy not everyone is that lucky. Also having an accident and a car being totalled is scary in itself and being pregnant is a whole different story, I’m sure it was stressful but I’m happy your baby is doing great. In my situation I feel I would be tempting faith. I feel I should be happy that I have healthy kids. I’d like to try again in a few years but I feel not only my age will be a factor but my history as well.
