So in a discussion with my husband he comes to the conclusion that I’m weird.😂
Tell me ladies while in labor waiting to push, what do you do to pass the time? I watch cooking shows. 🤷🏻♀️ I love watching people all over the world show their techniques and how they make signature dishes from where they live. I enjoy watching everything made from scratch and I enjoy watching them bring out flavors in each dish. ❤️🥰

In labor? Bruh I was passed out on the bed before pushing. Unless you mean while waiting to go into labor 😂

Usually I go into the hospital the night before to get induced and after my water is broken I will watch cooking shows on my laptop until I’m dilated enough to start pushing. Cooking shows keep me calm and with my last pregnancy my epidural came out so I had my son without any pain medicine so watching something I love and passionate about helped me ignore the pain of contractions until it was “go time” to start pushing.

Yeah I go all natural so I didnt have the zest for anything. But cooking shows are always relaxing!

oh I agree. I am constantly watching some sort of cooking show. Once I start feeling pain that’s not bearable I will try anything to take my mind off of it and since I love to cook, cooking shows are what relaxes me.

I was usually playing on my phone, talking with visitors, or my husband, or watching TV. I had very long labors so I didn't mind having company after my epidural, I can say I was pretty dang bored during them and if I knew every one would be so long (12-20hrs)I would have downloaded a series on my computer to watch lol

oh goodness. I had issues with mine and my youngest sons blood pressure during labor to so I understand what you mean. I don’t know if I could have contained myself watching everyone else having a good ol time and me in a lot of pain.😰 usually with me it’s just my family who sits with me which honestly isn’t a lot of people.😂

last time it was just my mom and my husband the whole time and my best friend is the only one who visited me during labor, just wished they would have came after I wasn't in pain! I know the epidural causes the low blood pressure but the nurse just kept giving me more blankets and I'm like lady I'm internally cold, it's not helping lol. Hopefully yours goes smoothly and watch whatever you want to pass time even if your husband thinks your weird 😂

he always thinks I’m weird.😂😂 probably why he married me because I’m odd.😂😂 I hope this ones smoothly too. The pitocen drip is what messed with our blood pressure sadly. Yeah I agree. I’d rather everyone besides a select few come after the delivery instead of crowded in my room watching me.

I couldn't pay attention to tv. I was too busy trying to hold in farts, not puke all over myself and, begging God to help me!

@jmedina Exactly. SO was there and two doctors and I had to hold my butt cheeks a part to let the air out cuz I couldn't stop it. LOL funny now I guess...😄😶

@divinely_favored, it’s honestly like your body knows you can’t exactly pass gas at that moment so you have to all the more.😂

@divinely_favored I was so scared it was going to happen when they were checking for dilation lol I warned them though.
