Some dentists won’t see them until 3 but they should be seen before that. My dentist’s office told me 3 but I knew the AAPD recommended by 1, so I took her to a pediatric dentist.
I was told 6 months after your child's first tooth. I even called when my child's tooth came in and the dentist said 6 months after first tooth. Most insurances don't cover babies under 2. My boyfriend's dental insurance never covered our son's teeth. Good thing I had insurance for the both of us and it covered it .
Once they turn one and depends on how many teeth they have... my daughter has 7 so i made an appointment for the week after she turns one
The AAPD recommends a child's first dental appointment be when the first tooth appears or no later than the child's first birthday.
First tooth and I think they want to see them every 6 months after that.
