Fedding her is a process. She will breastfeed but about 50% of the time won't get full enough so she will take formula but have to burp her after every few minutes when she does bf and every .5-1oz of formula or she spits up, a large portion of it.

Is your supply low? Or do you not have the time so she can nurse all the way? My son would puke sometimes laying down so the doctor asked me to kinda sit him up while he nursed and keep him up for a bit (sitting up wise) before laying him down when he goes to sleep.

I think it may just depend on what she wants because she will do the opposite as well. We were using formula instead of just brestfeeding because she wasn't gaining enough weight, so they said that could affect my supply since she wasn't solely breastfeeding.

try sitting her up while she nursed. Maybe that will help. Also see if you can talk with a lactation specialist to see if she has some pointers to help your supply . I used one when my son was first born I wasn't producing fast enough and I was getting upset my son was losing weight rather than gaining but I held on and sure enough I started producing milk . It could be that you don't have milk in yet and stuff.

id try to just breastfeed her and pump when she's sleeping. I'd let her nurse as long as she can. I know it's a pain and I almost gave up but sticking with it was the best thing I did. I just recently stopped nursing a few months ago. My son was 2 years and 2 months old.

What kind of formula are you using mama? My son did the same thing, so I switched him to similac sensitive and he instantly did better. I would also use breastmilk as the water for the mixing at first which helped a lot

We are using Similac Advance currently. I will try the breastmilk mix and the sensitive formula, thank you!
