I have an iud question.

&& Also TMI.

Yesterday after having sex I started bleeding and my bf said he didn't feel the strings like he would normally and I started bleeding.. About 2 hours ago we had sex again and he still isn't able to feel them and we noticed a lot of blood it's not dark blood it's like a light pinkish red. Is this normal?? Because he could usually feel them not a lot but he knew they were there.

I've called my clinic emergency number and waiting for a call back but just wanted to know if maybe this has happen to anyone else.

Thank you ☺

Well, why dont you check for the strings? When I had one I was told to do so once a month around the same time so you could tell if they were in the right place. Your cervix moves through out your cycle and it could be it's just sitting higher right now. This is why checking your own string length and knowing where they should be and when is important.

They never told me to check my strings she just told if my bf felt them to much to let her know so she could trim them. But I'm going to see if I can feel for them myself is there a way to check them like do I have to be standing???

@andgee24 probably squatting or while sitting on the toilet is easiest.
