Hey mamas my almost 3 month old has a cough and a fever of 101.1, What should I do? I took her to urgent care the day before yesterday and they told me to just give her tylenol and keep an eye on her. Should I take her to the ER??
Take her to the doctor before you take her to the ER. It’s cold and flu season you’ll still be waiting there as well. And exposing her to more germs.
I called the emergency line at her pediatrician and they told me as long as she’s eating and the symptoms haven’t gone longer than 10 days that it’s “okay”, To just give her tylenol
@karennn, yes. That would be correct. It’s scary when are babies are sick, but usually a fever is a good thing. Her body is trying to fight it off.
Don’t take her to the emergency room, my baby was very sick when he was 3 months old too. He has croup, RSV, bronchiolitis, and an ear infection at the same time. It’s tough but all you can do is give them Tylenol and keep a close eye on them. If she is congested I would put a humidifier on, it might help her breathe better. I would take my LO into the shower steam too and that helped even more. Do you have a nosefrida nose sucker? Lol I’m not sure what they are called but it was a lifesaver when my son was sick. I had to use it ever ten minutes and it worked amazing along with saline drops. I know it’s hard seeing your baby sick but sometimes taking them to the ER can do more harm then good. I would try and make her a regular doctors appointment. Good luck momma, you can get through this!❤️
