Yep, just ask and have a cooler ready. Helps to have your midwife work with the docs as well.

I was just reading that. I'm thinking I'll take a cooler of ice and then decide how to do it later. SO is going to think I'm a nut job so I'm not even going to bring it up to him. Is it the placenta and the umbilical cord?

@johnfourfour since they are attached, yes. I had jewelry made of my babies' umbilicals and breastmilk.
