@ladybug5 every time I do they just two me to drink more water. I was drinking more than I needed to. I even talked to lactation consultants too. I'm hoping my midwife can clue me in a little more
@mamaof2babes it is helpful. I tried just about everything though. I have a sneaky suspicion that my pcos is throwing off my production hormones and I have to seek out hormone balancing options. I'm hoping my midwife can clue me in more than the doctors and consultants have.
I breastfeed my son!! It’s the most special bond you can have that’s for sure. Very hard! Make small goals and then once you achieve them keep setting more goals!!! Start small with maybe I want to try to breastfeed for X amount of time. Then so on and so forth! It will hurt at first, maybe the first 1-2 weeks. Get nipple cream & gel packs! It’s worth it in the end!!! Good luck!
I tried breatfeeding my son and we were in the hospital for 7 days because he was having problems latching. So I pumped for 4 months and bottle fed him until my supply dried up! Sometimes it doesn't go as planned but I reccomend breastfeeding/pumping!
🙋 I BF over 2 years and pumped about 15 months 💖 very hard work but I'd do it again. Well in Feb I start all over! There is a BFing group on here.... Best advice is to find a support group! My hospital has one that meets a couple times a month, FREE, also look into la leche league for info and they offer a meeting as well. @ladybug5

This time I'm not even bothering with the pump, only used it 2 months with my first and then forgot about it. But it's definitely amazing, hard, but amazing. And the benefits for you and baby are wonderful.
🙋🏼♀️ I’ll admit, it’s not the easiest thing to do. My firstborn wouldn’t latch and I didn’t pump as much as I wanted to. It’s definitely a commitment and if it’s something you really wanna do, make sure you see a lactation consultant and ask your nurses in the hospital for all the help you can get. It really makes a huge difference. It seems like something that should be so easy to do, but it’s a learning process for mom and baby. Some babies latch better than others, but getting help with it makes all the difference in the world!! And even if breastfeeding doesn’t work out, just remember that FED is is best. A full belly makes for a happy baby, whether it be formula or breast milk

I wanted to pump instead of latching I would try the latching but if I’m not comfortable I’ll do pumping

I’m breastfeeding. I think the best way to learn is just by doing it. Take advantage of the lactation consultants in the hospital to help you.
