If you didn't have your mom in the delivery room (on purpose) how did you tell her? Just want it to be me and my fiance but don't want to hurt my mom by telling her.

I was worried about this with my family, especially since my aunt let me in the delivery room with her 2nd son, but I had to keep my best interest in mind. I try not to be a selfish person, but for this one thing I felt like I needed to be. I told my mom I felt like it would be too stressful to have anyone but my fiancé there. She was upset, but she understood.

I let her stay til it was time for me to push, and I just told her I’d see her after she was grandma again. She stood at the door looking in the window. 🤷🏻♀️

I just told my mom straight up that i was just having my man in the delivery room, no one else. Yeah she was upset but once she saw the baby she got over it and was happy.

I had a super quick delivery and was holding my baby girl by the time she walked in the room! 🤣
I didn’t want her in the room and I’m pretty sure she wanted to be there but we never talked about it.
Could you ask her to watch your son? That way she’ll have another purpose during your delivery. 🤷🏼♀️

I told her when we were on the way to the hospital. My labor took 29 hours haha, and then we also had like 2 hours alone with baby. At that point everyone knew i had given birth. Some came but was turned down at the door since i had told them we wanted no visitors until we were ready. We texted those who wanted to come and visit to come when wee were ready to share our little one.

I could tell some were impatient and kept blowing up our phones. At that moment i really didnt even care 🤷🏻♀️🤣 I was livid when my FIL came and he was sick and was coughing since he had some respiratory virus. I felt bad especially when i saw he had teared up because he was so excited to see her.We kicked him out of the room when we found out he was sick 🙄 We could not compromise our daughters health for someone else’s feelings. My daughter ended up getting sick like when she was 2 weeks 😭 Def learned from that. Next time, i will be sending out a mass text for those who are sick to just stay away until they are better LOl!
