Anyone have older kids that are picky eaters?? My son is 11 and has always been very picky. I thought he would outgrow this at some point by now. When I say picky. I mean it lol. He has like maybe 10 things he will eat. Chicken nuggets , fries , pizza , hamburgers, tacos , plain noodles. Nutella sandwiche , boiled eggs , cereal. There is a few other things I can't think of.
Butt like with hamburgers. He will only eat Wendy's and McDonald's. He won't eat them if made at home!!! Taco's he will only do hamburger and cheese. Pizza is only pepperoni. If chicken nuggets like different from what he is use to he won't eat. Drivers me crazy.
Anyways at his age do I just push it for him to try new thing's? I offer him food all the time. I've talked to his doctor she said kids are just picky and to have him atleast try it. She told him to lick the food 3 times to get his taste bud's to get use to it.
Did any of your picky eaters eventually outgrow or will I always deal with this??

My 11 yo is picky too, he doesn’t like sauce of any type not even ketchup. I make him eat something’s like baked chicken and rice etc because I’m sorry but I refuse to let him live off junk. He has broadened his choices within the last year but they are still quite simple and bland within last year he’s started to eat scrambled eggs, oatmeal, kiwi, pomegranate, spinach and roasted potatoes. Oh ya he will also now eat egg McMuffin type or wrap sandwiches with egg cheese and bacon or sausage. I also find he’s more likely to try new things when other people get him to, he tried calamari & shrimp while going out to eat with family friends over the summer, he didn’t like either but he tried it.

I'm glad my son isn't the only picky child out there. Lol. He has gotten a little better. He wouldn't even eat hamburger or actual chicken untill about last year. He only ate the chicken nuggets. It was a hassel to get him to even eat any meat. But I'm started to get a little annoyed because he eats finger food. I do give him some drink's every other morning to help him get some nutrients.
