Personally, my mom pierced mine at 6 weeks but I’m gonna wait until my daughters old enough to decide for herself. There’s nothing really wrong with piercing so I’m not against it I’m just more about letting my daughter decide instead of me deciding for her. Also, the big issue I have with piercing isn’t the act itself but the way in which some inexperienced parents do it to their babies. I’m a licensed tattoo artist and piercer so please take my advice and don’t go to Claire’s or Walmart to get your babies ears pierce if you do decide to do it. Instead go to a professional tattoo shop that you observe and feel is clean and sanitary because they will pierce using a needle and not a gun. Guns are full of bacteria and viruses ready to infect your baby and they can jam causing ER trips, extreme pain and deformities. Please do your research and lookup videos on the dangers of using a piercing gun and you’ll be able to decide for yourself real quick that it’s not the way to go.
