Guys... question... my son falls asleep in his tummy time! I read that it’s unsafe to let babies sleep on their tummy but I noticed he sleeps better! What should I do? Plus he has spit up milk while on his back so I’m scared he could choke?!?! Help!

I let my daughters sleep on their belly because thats the only way they would sleep, they got used to it while they were in the nicu and wouldn't sleep any other way once home. But they were 2 months old when they came home and had pretty decent head control.

So would I change his head side or would he do that on his own?!?! Cuz he gets uncomfortable after 15-20mins for like a few mins trying to change his head position and then back to deep sleep! But I do want him to learn head and arm control but he falls asleep while on his tummy 😖

i would help him adjust his head until he can do that on his own, just be sure he has nothing at all covering or around his face.

You just have to be way more proactive in making sure he can breathe and have nothing around his face .. including bunched up blankets/sheets/pjs.

You could have him sleep on his side as well with supervision don’t know if that’ll help

It’s normal for them to sleep during tummy time and I say let him sleep just don’t leave any blacker around him and make sure his face in not facing down and watch him the tends to sleep longer and better also it prevent him from chocking on spit-ups
