So I took my meds at like 9pm last night I woke up at 2:45am with my breast killing me... begging that I took meds should I keep the milk I pumped??

@meka2013, did they know you were going to nurse when they gave it to you? Call the pharmacist they will tell you.

yup... the whole time I was in the hospital... I called the pharmacy and the milk is no good..she’s has her first appointment tomorrow and imma asked her doctor

But generally no. Anything you put into your body will also be in any bodily fluids including breast milk and it’s usually not a good idea to have your little baby drinking that just like how you pump and dump after a nice night of alcohol!

I don’t know a whole lot about the medicine you’re taking such as the dose but that’s personal so I won’t ask but generally oxy stays in your system a full day, by 6am it should be fine to give your baby breast milk but I would keep an eye on your LO and make sure they’re acting normal throughout the day ❤️

If you not buzzed and are ok to drive you are ok to nurse they say you don’t have to pump and dump anymore

Just make sure you label it not to feed baby. Always just put for baths only on those bags. It helps with eczema, diaper rash, dry skin, and more.

I suggest looking it up online or giving you doctor a call.. I was told there's no need to pump and dump even when you've been drinking.

With the meds id dump. Or maybe check with the dr they can tell u. Drinking and meds are different.

You don’t have to dump for the pain meds they gave you in the hospital . They wouldn’t give you meds that would affect breast feeding I took the same things you did
