Am I in the wrong? My SO said I'm being to protective with our daughter on his family's side than mine. I don't really know his dads side of the family, he's met all my dad's and my mom's family. I told him it's weird that his cousins (which are on his dad's side and are a mom and dad to 3 boys, let's call them Mel and del) took our daughter to the back room on Thanksgiving to get her to go to sleep without letting us know they were going back there, and when we did cuz I wanted to video chat my family on Thanksgiving, Mel said but she's finally asleep and my SO was like I know but it's Thanksgiving and we stood there awkwardly for at least 10 minutes waiting for Mel handed our daughter to my SO and then I went with our daughter to visit my family because they haven't met her yet and get back a week after and Mel and Del bring there kids over recently and I let Mel hold her but then our daughter needed a diaper change so I took her and changed her and if course after a diaper change our daughter was going to be hungry so I was wondering into the living room heading to the rocking chair and Mel was holding her hands out like I was going to let her hold our daughter again.. My SO said I was holding her for dear life... He said it's not fair that when I was visiting my family I was going house to house so they can see our daughter (my mom drove our daughter and I to 2 relatives houses and my best friend's house) but when we are home his family has to come to our place to see her. My family lives 6 hours away, I barely get to see them, we had Thanksgiving and Christmas with his family last year and now we are this year again and I didn't get to see all my family while I was over there. His family lives in the area where we live. I missed two thanksgivings, two Christmas's and two new years and this will be our daughters first Christmas and was her first Thanksgiving, He keeps saying I'm picking my family more over his...am I?

Be VERY careful of who “watches” or even walks off with your baby. ESPECIALLY your baby girl... You can never be too careful. His family and yours. Nobody takes your baby out of your sight unless you trust them 100%.

that's what I was thinking! As soon as I noticed they weren't in the kitchen in my view that's when I told my SO I want our daughter now they had no reason to take her in the back room and I kept telling him what of they did something to her cuz they didn't tell us they we're back there it was kind of suspicious and now he's saying I want our daughter closer to my family then his and that's not what I want, I want his family to know her to not just mine, I told him I just don't know his that well until I get to know them they aren't allowed to go in a different room especially without our permission and he was like did you do that with your family too? And I was like I was right there with everyone who held her except when I was at my mom's house cuz I had to shower and I trust my mom and my siblings and step dad but with everyone else I was right there

I completely understand and agree with you 100%.
Its what you are comfortable with. You know as women we understand alot more about those dangers than a man ever will. He needs to understand that so in the future he is cautious about it as well. Best of luck to you. I really hope you both come to an understanding.

I grew up with a guy who ended up molesting his step daughter and I wished I had seen a red flag sooner but I didn't. He was married to my bff and I knew him sense I was like a 6th grader. Never would have thought. This mel sounds strange. You got to worry about everyone. Something doesn't feel right then you follow it.
