How do you know when to change bottle teats?
How do you know when to change bottle teats?
I have the tommee tippee bottles with size 1 slow flow teats. Harrison sucks on his bottle teats really hard sometimes like almost inhaling it! Is this a sign to change them? I’ve seen variflow ones were he can control the flow or should I move him onto size 2 medium flow?
Does anyone have an experience with the variflow?

No experience with variflow but usually the teats have age range on them I moved to size two at around six weeks xx

Yeah I noticed that. That’s why I thought size 1 was fine as it fit his age but my health visitor said to ignore ages on baby products as every baby is different😩 So that just confuses me even more haha😂

My midwifes told me that the hospital start on size 2 teats they never use size 1, not sure if that’s everywhere. But my daughters been on size 2 teats since we came home from hospital and she’s 5 weeks xxx

My health visitor said something similar! She said most babies don’t use size 1 or they don’t use it for very long! xx

My little girl was on size 2 teats from 2 weeks as she was inhaling the size 1 teat and was full of trapped wind because it was soo slow. I’d move up to the size 2 teats x

Yeah I think so too. I just picked him up some size 2s! Fingers 🤞🏼 these work out better for him xx

We used size 1 & 2 then went to variflow. Seemed to work well for us xx
