We finally found a place to live and are moving in today. This past month an half has been the lowest point in my life (next to the passing of my mother). To be 9 months pregnant with two small children and homeless is a hard path to walk, but we made it!!! I am so thankful for my family, friends, and this journey. I’ve learned that you literally need to focus on the small wins that are positive than sit and focus on the negatives that are keeping you stuck. For all you mamas that are going through ANYTHING at this moment, I want you to look at what you do have in front of you. We are so gifted at finding what we don’t like or have the most that we don’t see the small wins that are already present. You got this and you will overcome this. My mother use to always say, “seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall open, ask and you shall receive.” Put it in the universe and watch it come back to you in the form of something better. I find it pretty hilarious how people who have shown their true colors on social media snake away, delete the posts that outed them and come back on social media like nothing happened. Why do that, you outed yourself, so stay out. We still see you boo boo...

You couldn't find a babysitter?!

You couldn't find a babysitter?! Mommas, do you take your kids with you to run errands and go to mundane appointments? On two separate occasions, a doctors appointment for me and today at a car service appointment, someone has remarked "you couldn't find a babysitter?!" It never crossed my mind to find a babysitter. I take my 2 kids with me just about everywhere. They are well behaved (minus the occasional 3 year old meltdown) and one of them is attached to my boob the majority of the time anyway. Am I the only one? Is that a weird thing to do? Do most moms find babysitters?

@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.
