Any mommas in some Anxiety meds that would be willing to give me some help? I’m currently on a low dose of Wellbutrin and idk if it’s helping or not. I still feel extremely anxious. I go back to see my dr the day after Christmas and I thought about maybe bringing it up to possibly try something else but I don’t even know what to try.

@caseyann19 it usually takes about a month for something to fully take effect. I have not been on Wellbutrin so I'm not much help on that medication specifically. But I have been on multiple different types and know how it is. You can definitely talk to your Dr if you don't think it's helping you any and they can either change the dosage or change the medication all together. You know your body best.

I can tell it helps with some things like I definitely have a little bit of my energy back and I can almost talk myself down from having an anxiety attack so I’ll give it a little more time or maybe see if we can up the dosage a little bit more before we try something else. It’s been so long since I’ve been on anxiety meds that I’ve completely forgotten how they even work lol

With anxiety medication it usually takes a month for it to really take effect. So, if you recently started to take it, in a few weeks it may start to work.

As pp posted started, if you feel as though its not working maybe you need a higher dosage or a different medication.

I have taken a combo of prozac and trazadone, the prozac didnt work well for me, and the trazadone was to help me sleep and I would wake up feeling drunk.

I was also on Lexapro and Klonopin just at night to help me relax and sleep. That combo worked.

I dont take any medications anymore, because I got off of them when I got pregnant and was able to manage mostly without them.

I was on abilify when I was younger (it made me a zombie) and then tried Prozac for a while and then took myself off of it because I had figured out how to control it and work with it but since I’ve had my daughter it’s been UNREAL. I’m literally to the point that I can’t even be by myself without being terrified and having an anxiety attack for no reason 😩 I’ll see about upping the dosage a little more tho before trying anything else

You have to wait a while for any kind of medication to kick in, that’s the sucky part about it takes about 3-4 weeks for it to actually kick in, if your feeling anxious try Xanax or if they can prescribe that to you

It definitely sucks having to wait it out and it’s even worse when you desperately want it to help so you wait for improvement cause that just makes it seem longer 😩

When I started taking anxiety/depression meds a couple years ago my doctor said give it 2-4 weeks to start working. I stopped taking it I didn’t like how it made me feel.
