Mommies of intact boys, has your little one ever had swelling and redness? His entire penis is swollen and red. It doesnt seem to bother him and he is peeing no problem except of course when I try to look at it, he doesnt want me to touch it. When changing him I noticed a little bit of pus, picture in comments. Just curious if anyone has dealt with this before and what it was. We have a doctors appointment in the morning

@jennaa05 @kalidream We brought him in to urgent care just to get it taken care of asap if it is an infection. It's not hot and he doesnt have a fever. Will update
Dr said its balanitis. We got some anti fungal cream and instructions to bathe with warm salt water 3-5 times a day
My son had this he had a diaper rash and the diaper rash cream gave him an infection. They gave him cream for it. It went away within a day. What also help was a baking soda bath with warm water. Multiple times a day for 20 mins each time.
I myself haven’t experienced this but many of my patients have. It could be something as simple as an infection or could be something much worse. The good thing is that there doesn’t seem to be pain... good thing you have an appointment.
