i let my son explore.. of course i keep him away from things he really shouldn’t have, but if he wants to crawl around the house and make a mess, I LET HIM! he’s learning! he’s got plenty of years to learn to clean up after himself lol everything he does now, his brain is soaking up like a sponge. different objects, furniture, sights, smells, feelings, he’s soaking it all in! i sit back and let him chew on a sock. i sit back and let him pull a bunch of wipes out of his diaper bag 😂 call me crazy, but i can’t be a helicopter mom. i’m the type to let him explore his surroundings, how else is he gonna learn?!

I think I am the hovering helicopter since I let him do the same but help soften the blows when he falls and remind him of the very few no areas. I try to clean up nightly so he can do it all again in the morning. It is so fun and amazing to watch the exploring and learning.

yes there’s some no no areas at my house for sure, but all the areas he can explore i let him! it truly is amazing. you just watch their brain work just by look at their face. soaking in everything!!
