Help mommas!
Babe wakes up for hours at night no matter how much we swaddle, feed or comfort her, she stays awake.
They say to feed often during the day, naps no longer than a couple hours and play.
Except I’m having a hard time keeping her awake long enough to play.
After feeding she goes back to sleep.
I’m tired of no sleep.
Any advice that worked for you?

She's just a newborn, it's supposed to be like this.
If she hasn't gained her birth weight back feedings every 2hours. After she's gained her weight back she is allowed to be fed on demand.
She's going to sleep on her schedule so sleep when she sleeps if possible.
There will be a lot of sleepless nights.
And don't worry about play time just yet. Let her get used to her new world and way of life first.

Babies go right to sleep after feeds when they are this little. Since she is so new she usually uses up all her strength to drink milk. Give it about 2-3 week and she’s gain strength to play 20-30mins after feeds.

Shes a newborn. They have no recognition of day and night. Shes too young to try to make stay awake during the day.

SHES 4 DAYS OLD. She's gonna sleep 20 hours a day at least she's 4 DAYS not 4 YEARS. If you wanted sleep try to get some when she is older like 5-6 my daughter is almost 14months and still doesn't sleep all night.

You can do this momma! It’s very overwhelming in the beginning

You really don’t want her sleeping long hours at night unless she does it on her own. At 4 days old she should still be waking every 2-3 hrs for milk. It’s totally normal. Try napping when she naps, i know easier said than done but at least once a day try to nap with her.
My daughter didn’t sleep through the night until she was 2yrs old.

Yeah what everyone else said, she isn’t going to play at 4 days old, she is going to eat every 2 hours if not every hour, and sleep.

She's 4 days old hun! Take a deep breath and relax. She can probably since you getting frustrated and overwhelmed which is making her more fussy. My 2 year old was colicky the first 3 months of life talk about zero sleep cuz the only thing that would help him not crying was bouncing and singing to him. It does get easier. But at 4 days old your baby thrives on sleep and milk, so trying to get her to sleep longer right now is not going to work.

Thanks everybody. ♥️
Obviously hit my breaking point a little early.
But it is relieving to know I’m just doing what I’m supposed to and this is all part of it.
Normal woes of a being a first time mom.
I appreciate the reality check and compassion mommas.
