I’m sure I sounded like a grouch, but what am I supposed to do about this? He gets to school on time (bus takes him most days) and eats breakfast. I had no idea he is showing up 30min late to class but this pisses me off. How are they going to let a 5yr old roam around? This sounds like a note to send home for a middle schooler or high schooler not a kindergartener. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
No. No. No. I would go in Monday. Incompetence. As a teacher this horrifies me. How does his teacher not know where your child is?
Hell no! This doesn't make any sense. I'd definitely visit the school and speak with the principal Monday! This totally uncalled for on their part.
I would go to the school 1st thing Monday morning forget calling or emailing w that teacher.I sure hope the Principal will be more concerned than his teacher for his loss of Safety & time &whereabouts...please tell us how it goes.
Uhh yeah that’s not okay. Have you asked him what he’s doing? I’m assuming they have a bell that rings when it’s time to go to class.
Yeah, I would be calling the school ASAP. Because somethings not adding up.
I would call the Principal immediately..forget talking to that teacher..how scary where is a 5 yr for 30 minutes if he's at school on time...sorry this is the mom in me for 23 yrs of being a parent. Her note ..why doesn't she call you asap or go see where a 5 yr old could be
..there should be a way as young as your child is I would want a call or track the bus when he arrives to school and when he is departing school.i heard now these are possible good methods friend's are getting used to with their young children who are on a bus
Maybe talk with the bus lady/man as well to make sure they’re getting to the school on time. It does seem odd that if he’s there by 815 at the latest he’s 30mins late to class.
I worked in my local schools with 5 year olds. WE NEVER LEFT THEM ALONE and we accounted for every one of them. HEAD COUNT! And we did not leave the cafeteria until everyone was accounted for. They are too young to just not be assisted with things like this. We even lined them up for restroom breaks and counted them before and after each break, and for recess. Little ones like that can wonder off. That’s very concerning. You really need to address this ASAP. If the school does nothing about it go to the school board.
