Does anyone have experience taking the mini pill (micronor). It's a progesterone only pill and the only one I was told was safe during breast feeding. It says that periods can be irregular, or not come at all. If taken late it can cause you to spot, that being sad I took it a little late and the next day had bleeding more than spotting so I thought I was starting my period but I only really bled that day and then had the brownish discharge for a few days, like old blood that I would normally get at the begining or end of a period so I'm not sure if I should consider that my period? Basically I'm just looking for insight I know it's different for every person but I just don't want to have to run out every few weeks to take a pregnancy test to give myself peace of mind. My first baby was a big oops, a miracle non the less that I'm forever grateful for, but I'm definitely not looking to get pregnant any time soon!

I wasn't on that particular pill, but I was on the mini pill for a while. I had super irregular cycles and spotted like crazy on it, it was like two periods a month but one was the nasty brownish smear. If I was late or missed a pill it was even more frequent. I hated that pill. I also gained like 20lbs on it so that sucked too.

I recently started the same one my dr told me I don't have to take them at the same time every day just to make sure I don't miss a day. Haven't bled so far, but then again I think I had my period at 6 weeks PP.

It sounds like you’ve experienced breakthrough bleeding. Which is normal when beginning your pills. It’s not a period though. It should go away once your body gets adjusted to the new hormone.
