Merry Christmas! In the last two weeks we've had the sewer back up, the pressure tank spring a leak, and we found out that the water is acidic and eating out the copper pipes to the point where we can't even cook with it for now. $400, $700, and the last will be $1200. Oh, and the roof has a hole in it. Good thing we had already decided that we were going to keep Christmas small this year!

We could've gotten the sewer covered, but our deductible is $500 so there was no point. The pressure tank is not covered, but if it had been the pump it would have been. And since it's the water coming in from the ground that is acidic, it isn't covered as it's not IN the house.

Oh wait. The roof is covered but trying to get someone to fix a slate roof is like finding a diamond in a bowl of cereal. There is one company we found but they are so overbooked we've been trying to get them to come out since MARCH. The joys of an old house, hahaha.
