I’ve sort of fell off the wagon here, but I figured I’d give you ladies an update. I have been moved up to Nashville for weekly treatments at Vanderbilt. Ethan is not able to swallow anymore for the mass pushing in on his airway and esophagus, but is still able to produce urine, so my amniotic fluid builds up fairly quickly every week and it has gotten up to 50 AFI and they have had to drain up to 1,650 mL of fluid off of me at one time. Because of the strain the quick fluid buildup and the weekly amnioreductions are putting on my body, they are going to take Ethan on December 21st, which is 2 weeks away. They decided to do the EXIT C-section due to the fact that they want him to be able to have oxygen running to him from me while they are trying to ensure he can breathe when he is cut from me. He will be in the NICU for a while and they will do the surgery to remove the mass when they think he is mature enough to do so. We are very anxious, yet excited to meet him so early and we would appreciate continuous prayer for our little Ethan. 💙 I will post updated pictures of him.
