It's used to help boost ovulation and regulate your cycle.. your cycle must have been very irregular ?,

Without the right amount of progesterone, you wouldn't be able to ovulate ,, low progesterone is the cause of alot of early miscarriages as that is what is needed to sustain a pregnancy and also, to release an egg during ovulation! I was put on progesterone supplements in the beginning of my pregnancy, as my body wasn't producing enough to sustain my pregnancy once i reached a certain gestation. but my cycles were always regular. And I've always ovulated, like clockwork, the same time each cycle. So it's used for those two things !!
