Okay do some of you mom's struggle in the mornings with getting your kids up for school to the point…

I got my son his own alarm clock and he had a list on his mirror on his dresser saying to shower get dressed eat breakfast so hes been on a routine

We get up at 7 and out the door by 7:30. He he don't get up by the 2nd time I say it. Then he will go to bed 30 mins earlier that night

My son is a morning person, I am not, so in the beginning of the school year I started a routine where we do 90% of the morning stuff before bed time and then he wakes up and gets ready on his own and we will go to the bus stop together.. the bus saves me everyday because hed probably be late if it wasn't for the bus...

My 12 year old has to be out the door at 7. She sets an alarm and gets herself up, dressed, fixes her own breakfast and I straighten her hair for her. She’s waiting at the door for her dad at 7 on the dot. My 10 year old on the other hand has to be out the door at 8:15. I start telling her to get up at 7. She drags herself up by 7:15 and drags around all morning, barely doing anything without me right on her heels nagging her. She could care less if she’s late for school. I’ve tried setting and alarm and she just sleeps right through it. It doesn’t matter what time she goes to bed, she just does not want to get up and get moving. Drives me nuts!!

Mine knows he has to get his butt moving so that I can also make it to work on time.

My kids HATE getting woken up. It’s a damn struggle! When my son was in daycare he always made me late for work because he fought it so hard. Now he has preschool once a week and getting both of my kids out of bed and to school on time is almost impossible.

Oh same with my daughter she don't like to get out of bed which is almost impossible to get her up in the mornings she is not a morning person.

Our teens are responsible for getting themselves up and ready for school. If the miss their ride to school, the have to wait for me to go to town. Our oldest overslept and missed his first two classes two days in a row. He earned himself unexcused absences because he was late. He hasn’t overslept since. I’ve found the best way to teach them about being on time is for them to have to deal with the consequences for being late. For our son, it meant extra chores at home and homework not being accepted because his absence from class was unexcused. For our daughter, the fear of missing class is more than enough to get her out of bed on time every day.
