Anyone have any ideas how to deal with extreme constipation in a 4 year old. Other than medication?

Prune juice? Would a probiotic like bio gaia work in this case? I used to give it to my oldest as a baby to keep him regular because he had the same issue.

Oatmeal works, if my son has it for breakfast he is pooping almost all day every couple hours. Or I've heard getting a little sliver of soap and putting it up the butt helps, I never did that, but my ex MIL swears by it.

We ended up going with medication to clean her out. Now with diet changes and bathroom routine we she’s been having regular soft bowel movements.
