Any mom's use laughing gas during labor? Was it better than the epidural? I still get hip pains from my epidural with my son. Really against getting another but the pain was so intense I caved with him.

I haven’t had an epidural yet but I cried and hyperventilated while getting the novocaine only on laughing gas. It was for a wisdom tooth so a little different than for a normal tooth. It may have been because I just can’t handle mouth pain because otherwise I consider myself to have a high pain tolerance.

not for me at all and like someone else said I also felt claustrophobic, I guess that’s common because my husband didn’t like it either.

I tried for like 2 minutes. It made me feel like I was suffocating. I couldn't breathe through contractions right. So I gave up and just went unmedicated. Weirdly easier. Lol.

Had a epidural 3 times but never used laughing gas. I think I used it getting wisdom teeth pulled out but not labor.

I had the pain med on the IV and used the gas. The gas surprisingly helped. I would only put the mask to my face and breathe in and out while the contractions were happening. Then I had to go to Csection

I used gas and air, it made me sick but only once and that’s cause I was sucking on it too hard and made me gag lol. I was suppose to have an epidural but little man had other plans and by the time the anaesthetist came round I was pushing lol. X
