So I told my dad tonight through a letter that im pregnant. He said he already knew because I haven't been having my female products in the bathroom. I also told him that I was planning on messaging his mom to inform them that they are going to be grandparents again. And also I know nothing about their family history so that would also be nice to have for the records. He said that he should be the one to tell them not me but I feel like he won't tell them. What should I do?

It’s not your place to tell his family in my opinion, especially if your SO doesn’t think you should. If he thinks he should be the one to tell them you need to respect those boundaries. Your only 9 weeks you can give him time to discuss it with his family on his own terms. Most people don’t even tell their parents till the 12 week mark these days anyways.
Do you have a close relationship with your in-laws?

So your dad is telling you that it should be the father of the baby who tells his own parents?
Then yes I completely agree with your dad. If it was a “one time thing” you hardly know this person and it isn’t your place to contact his family. In my opinion. If it were me I’d respect those boundaries as you could cause problems and aggravate the situation with the babies father by getting ahold of his family. I’d give it some time before doing anything just yet. A lot can change this early on. Down the road you could reach out but for now I’d leave it be.

I'm actually going to send him a message letting him know that I did go to the doctors and got it confirmed with a blood test because all I had before was 2 +hpts

I'm going to send him a message letting him know that the blood results came back as positive and he can do what he wants with that information, but I'm hoping he's mature about it but part of me thinks he won't be.

Unfortunately there’s nothing you can do to change that. I’d just focus on you and the baby. If he comes around, he does and if not- you’ve got this, it’s his loss
