My husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas. We just moved into a bigger house meaning we needed a little furniture. He’s buying me a she shed and putting together a garden bed. I’m thinking I’m already so blessed that I was looking at him crazy. What he said made me cry.

Hubby: “Baby, you have been busting your entire ass this year. You’ve spent three months in WA taking care of your father and siblings after his two surgeries. You found a way to still be there for me when I needed you back here in CA during that time which touched my heart. You still found time to keep on your weight loss journey and continue to look amazing. You found us this house, painted the majority of the house and pretty much got it ready by yourself with our son in tow. With everything that we have going on you’re still having us host my side of the family for Christmas dinner. You are truly the CEO of this family, and don’t get paid for it. I’m still amazed at how you do it and it’s been 4 years! I am so proud that you’re my wife. You still pay for your own clothes, shoes, makeup, hair, all that. Do you want the latest Apple Watch, that coach purse you’ve been scoping for 2 years? Maybe that photo shoot? Maybe money towards finishing your tattoos? Perhaps a flight to surprise your cousin in Dallas since I know you’re going anyway, just tell me the dates and let me pay? Better yet, a weekend at a spa resort in the wine country by yourself? Please let me spoil you this Christmas.”
