3 week old sleeps through the night if I let her...I breastfeed exclusively and dr said I need to wake her up every 4 hours to eat during the night. Anyone else have a baby that slept through the night this young?
How many hours does she sleep? My son has always been a good sleeper and slept 7-8 hours straight as a newborn. I just let him. I also have a toddler and I’m tired. He gradually started sleeping longer, like 9-10 hours at night. I don’t wake him up.
@emily.elsholz, sounds like my son. If she eats well during the day and is gaining weight then I’d just let her sleep. Maybe don’t let her go past 7 hours until she’s older.
@2sweetie, yes she is literally on the boob all day and growing fast! Thank you 😊
@emily.elsholz, ok then don’t worry, she probably needs the sleep. My son was nursing about every hour during the day because he likes to sleep while eating and eat while sleeping 😆 so at night he’d crash out and I figured he really needed it
Yes mine did. And her pediatrician said I could let her go 6 hours at night as long as she was getting plenty of feeds and wet nappies during the day. Like she said I need my sleep, too. She only had me waking her for the first 6 weeks and after that it was ok to let her sleep.
Ok...it’s so hard for me to wake up when she’s sleeping so peacefully! Lol
Lol yes let her sleep peacefully. You don't wanna piss her off lol
I never woke my son to eat. I woke up tho to pump and had milk ready or just breastfed when he woke
I left my kids alone. I pumped to not lose milk. They will wake when hungry
I forgot to add that my supply has not been affected. I still make a lot of milk, too much actually.
